Saqlawi are listed as the third preference among all the strains documented in the Abbas Pasha manuscript. El Shalyar ( by Soufian) won 1983 U.S. National Top Ten Futurity Stallion, Numerous Most Classic, Numerous Halter Championships, as was the Sire of Regional Winners in Performance and Halter, and anInternational Sweepstakes Nominated Sire.
