Prince is a 6 yr old grade quarterhorse gelding. His sire is a great grandson of Silky Fox but the mare was grade quarter/thoroughbred. He has had 120 days of training. Stands for farrier, fly spray, ties, loads, bathes, clips, stands for mounting and saddles with ease. He is, at the present time... a little over weight. His last ride was mid August so he has had plenty of time to get a belly. He stands roughly 14.3 hh and weighs about 1100lbs. He is soft mouthed, neck reins, leg cues, has been on barrels for the last month of training and loves patterns. He is a little on the lazy side when he hasn't been ridden much. My trainer had ridden him daily and he got easier and easier to respond and loose the laziness. He does great on trails and isn't an easy spooker. He has a natural understanding of safety on the trail and is aware of his rider. He responds to my hands movements and my weight when I get ready to turn he is already with me. He loves stretching his legs and prefers to be out front but will follow. This horse is mellow and needs to have something to do. If you just ride in a round pen, he does not like it. He prefers to learn to ride the rail, turn to the rail, learn the barrels, etc. He gets bored if you make him go round and round. He needs a job. I can truthfully say that he could be more than just a trail horse. He would make a great barrel racer, roping horse, team penner, trail horse, and ranch horse because he is so versatile and built for different disciplines. He is a fast learner and is a great prospect. He has a gentle disposition and relaxed demeanor. I am asking $3000 for him. Please email for pics.
